Today I attended an orientation at Seton Medical Center. A doctor at the hospital who was in charge of the volunteer work spoke to us about the requirements and duties of being a volunteer. She also spoke about the history of the hospital and why their values and policies are the way they are today. I signed up for an interview for Friday, February 7th in hopes of being accepted into the volunteer program.

Mentor
Today I spoke with Educational Coordinator about the different documents she needs me to complete to be able volunteer at Kaiser Redwood City. I completed the submission of my paperwork like immunizations, privacy act and now awaiting an account to be set up for me so that I can do on line training which is required prior to my shadowing.
I will also be doing a volunteer program for Seton Hospital. Orientation for this program is scheduled for next Tuesday, January 28, 2014.
